CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
Canadian Feed The Children (CFTC) stands behind its commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and believes that the opportunity to work with children for the betterment of their futures is a serious undertaking. CFTC will only develop relationships with partners that share this same commitment to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The organization will take reasonable actions to reduce the risk of abuse, including neglect, exploitation and sexual abuse, for children receiving benefits through its agents and partners. This policy applies to all staff, volunteers and supporters.

Canadian Feed The Children (CFTC) recognizes that an individual’s right to privacy is an essential right to be protected, and understands the importance of protecting personal information in our care or under our control. CFTC’s relationship with its supporters is founded on trust and CFTC is committed to maintaining this trust.
CFTC does not collect identifying information about visitors to our website. CFTC may collect non-identifying information about visitors in order to create summary statistics and to determine the level of interest in information available on the website. This information would include such items as the date and time our site was accessed and the web browser used.

CFTC’s Whistleblower Policy provides direction to all current and former directors, officers, employees, contractors, consultants, agents, volunteers, donors, partners and clients of CFTC and community members (“stakeholders”) regarding the communication of concerns about questionable or illegal practices or activities or suspected questionable or illegal practices or activities concerning CFTC.
CFTC expects anyone who has serious concerns about any aspect of the operations, programs and services of CFTC to come forward. This Policy provides a confidential procedure through which such concerns can be reported and investigated.

Code of Conduct
Recognizing that sexual exploitation and sexual abuse violate universally recognized international legal norms and standards and, aligned with Canada’s commitment to the delivery of international assistance grounded in a human rights framework, CFTC will make publicly available, this code of conduct for the prevention, investigation and reporting of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.
